Pauline M. (Rocco) Burns

Burns, Pauline M. (Rocco), 93, of Springfield, passed away at 10:12 p.m. Sunday in Oakwood Village. She was born in Springfield on March 2, 1923 the daughter of Luca and Rosalba (Amacuchi) Rocco. She worked at Elderly United for over 20 years, was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Navy. Survivors include her three children, Patricia (Dominick) Dennis, Bill Burns all of Springfield and John (Beth) Burns of Lakewood, Colorado; five grandchildren, Heidi (John) Readler, Brad Burns, Damien (Lindsey) Dennis, Rocky (Kristina) Dennis and Nathan Burns; six great grandchildren, Kelsie Strother, Karsyn and A.J. Readler, Tyse, Ella and Bria Dennis; several nieces and nephews and friends, Ivy Mammolite and Gene Amicon. She was preceded in death by her husband, William in 1970; two sisters, Anna Rocco and Nancy Powell; two brothers, Peter and Tony Rocco and special friend, Sara Montico. The family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses and staff of Oakwood Village. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday in CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Her funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home with Deacon Norm Horstman officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to United Senior Services, 125 W. Main Street, Springfield, Ohio 45502.
