Snyder, Paul E. "Pickle", 89, of Springfield, died Thursday, January 10, 2013 in Forest Glen Health Campus. He was born June 22, 1923 in Springfield the son of Frank and Mable (Dillon) Snyder. Paul worked as a Tool Designer for Robbins & Myers for 30 years and later worked for Cooper Energy and Kelsey Hayes. He was a member St. Raphael Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus #624, Eagles #397, Liedertafel Club, Foreman's Club at Robbins & Myers and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Survivors include his wife Virginia (Nagel); three sons, Doug (Wanda) Snyder of Springfield, Dorn (Joyce) Snyder of London, Dick Snyder of Arizona, and a daughter, Lynda Snyder of Springfield; sister, Mary Earnhart of Dayton, and a brother, Bob Snyder of Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Martha Fromm. The family would like to thank the staff of Forest Glen and Community Mercy Hospice for all of their excellent care. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday in St. Raphael Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Community Mercy Hospice.
