SZEMPRUCH, Paul C., 59, Cincinnati, formerly of Springfield, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 4, 2017 in his home. He was born March 15, 1958 in Springfield the son of August and Virginia (Weinert) Szempruch. Paul worked as a contractor and carpenter for various companies in Springfield and Cincinnati. He was a 1976 graduate of Catholic Central High School and later attended Ohio University and the University of Cincinnati. He attended and volunteered at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Cincinnati. Survivors include his siblings, Joan Szempruch Buchert (Dennis Buchert), Princeton, NJ, August J. Szempruch, Akron, OH, Stephen V. Szempruch (Suanne Szempruch), Acworth, GA, Margaret Szempruch(Damian Billy), Cincinnati, OH,sister in law Julie Szempruch Memmen, Zionsville,IN and friend and former spouse, Cyndi Weeks-Szempruch. He was a loving uncle to14 nieces and nephews and 7 great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Carol Ann and brother, Michael. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30A.M. on Saturday, July 15, 2017 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 819 Kenton St., Springfield, OH 45505. Visitation will be held one-hour prior in the church. Inurnment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Springfield Catholic Central Athletic Association or St. Cecilia's St. Vincent de Paul organization.
