Patrick E. Hearlihy

HEARLIHY, Patrick E., 62, of Springfield, passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 in his home surrounded by his family. He was born December 15, 1951 in Springfield the son of Thomas and Mary (Garrigan) Hearlihy. Pat was a 1970 graduate of Catholic Central High School and a 1975 graduate of The Ohio State University. He was the President of Hearlihy & Co. in Springfield for a number of years, the business manager at Catholic Central High School for 12 years and was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church. Pat started the lung cancer support group at the Springfield Regional Cancer Center and was instrumental in starting the American Dream Raffle. Survivors in addition to his father, Tom, include his wife of 36 years, Sandra (Minette); two daughters and spouses, Megan & Patrick McGee, Springfield and Erin & Justin Hatcher, Danville, VA; one grandson, Jacob Broering; three siblings, Peggy Johnson, Springfield, Dan & Amy Hearlihy, Springfield and Tim & Laura Hearlihy, Centennial, CO and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary C. in 2005. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday in St. Teresa Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery.
