Patrick A. Barton

Barton, Patrick A. “Pat”, 38, of Springfield, passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at Springfield Regional Medical Center. Patrick was born March 23, 1987 in Middletown, Ohio to John P. “Pat” Barton and Lisa Jean (Fry) Fitzsimmons. He was a general manager for Speedway, where he had worked for 19 years.

Patrick’s warmth, kindness, and humor radiated all around him. Effortlessly, his wit, loyalty, and compassion touched the lives of so many. He shared his avid love of gaming with countless friends, as well as his admiration for all animals (especially reptiles), and his adoration of Vikings and Norse Mythology. He had an incredible devotion to each and every one of his friendships; new and old. He was a deeply loved son, brother, nephew, uncle, grandson, and friend.

Survivors include his father, John P. “Pat” Barton; three siblings, Ambyr (Lee) Hogue, Aaronn (Angie) Haerr and Hannah Barton; two aunts, Amy (Brian) Shockey and Patty (Patrick) Whitley; maternal grandmother, Donna Fry; paternal grandfather, John L. Barton; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lisa J. Fitzsimmons; grandfather, Edwin L. Fry; uncle, James L. Fry; grandmother, Jenelle Anderson; grandfather, Harold Anderson; and dear friend, James Mount. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 26 at 12:00 p.m. in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Visitation will be held two hours prior, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the funeral home. A private burial with his family will be held at South Vienna Cemetery at a later date.
