Norma L. Abraham

ABRAHAM, Norma L., 77, of Springfield passed away Monday, January 20, 2014 in Springfield Regional Medical Center following five years of failing health. She was born June 12, 1936 in Springfield the daughter of Amer and Zida (Overly) Bales. Norma was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Moose Aux. #429, St. Joseph Rosary Sodality, former member of the St. Joseph Bowling League and enjoyed playing bingo and "going to the boat". Survivors include her two children and spouse, Cynthia Abraham and William A. "Andy" & Tamara Abraham, all of Springfield; five grandsons, Robert & Jaime, Jeffrey & Kathryn and Stephen Kramer, Gabriel and Xavier Abraham; two great granddaughters, Annika and Penelope Kramer; one sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy & Joseph Szempruch and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband William R. in 2003, brother, Willard and two sisters, Kathleen and Peg. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday in St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. The family would like to offer a special thanks to Community-Mercy Hospice and Dr. Ahern for their care and support.
