Shaffer, Nina E., 84, of Springfield, died Saturday, January 11, 2014 in Tampa, Florida. She was born in Xenia on May 5, 1929 the daughter of Abram and Nina L. (Tedrick) Burrell. She retired from Security National Bank after 52 years of service. She was a member of First Christian Church, Fort Nightly Musical Club, Shrine Widows Club and worked for many years at the Clark County Fair. Survivors include her two children, Gary (Melanie) Shaffer of Richmond, Kentucky and Shari Shaffer of Tampa, Florida; brother and sister-in-law, Albert (Sue) Burrell of Ocala, Florida; two grandchildren, Rick and Sarah; three nieces, Sally Riley, Heather Groff and Cara Richmond and nephew, Jeff Burrell and their families. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard in 1996. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday in CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Her funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the funeral home with Marty Frazer officiating. Burial will be in Somerford Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society or the Humane Society.
