Sheerin, James Nathan "Nate", 59, of South Vienna, died at 5:30 a.m. Thursday, February 7, 2013 at The Ohio State University Medical Center. He was born in Springfield on September 25, 1953 the son of Frederick and Marvine (Shaffer) Sheerin. He was a self-employed Mail Contractor for nearly 40 years and a member of United Church of South Vienna. He was the chairman of the South Vienna Corn Festival, member of the I.O.O.F. Lodge, where he was the secretary and served on the South Vienna Village council for 21 years. He enjoyed vacations with his wife, attending and tailgating at Ohio State football games and golf with his sons and friends on Sunday mornings. Survivors include his wife, Margie A. (McKenzie); three sons, Ben Sheerin of Columbus, Scott (Jamie) Sheerin of Mechanicsburg and Bryan (Laura) McEnaney of Springfield, Virginia; four grandchildren, Abigail, Madeline, Nolan and Quinton and brother, Tim (Mary) Sheerin of Springfield. He was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings, Phyllis, Bonnie and Steve. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday in CONROY FUNERAL HOME with an I.O.O.F. service at 8 p.m. His funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the United Church of South Vienna with Rev. Scott Griswold officiating. Burial will be in Vernon-Asbury Cemetery.
