Michael D. Bostick

BOSTICK, Michael D., 65, passed away Sunday September 3 after several months of failing health. He was the fourth son of Robert Sr. & Nellie Bostick. He lived in Springfield his whole life. He was a 1970 graduate of Springfield South High School. He was a sports official for over 35 years for USSSA softball (National Trail Parks and Recreation), a high school official in girl's fast pitch softball and boys and girls high school basketball for over 20 years. He used to love to play golf with his brother Bob and son Michael on Saturday and Sunday mornings at Reid Park Golf Course. He is survived by his wife Wilma, whom he married on October 21, 2006; his son Michael (Heather) Bostick Jr., daughter Misty Bostick, stepdaughter Sarah (Craig) Cost, stepson Shawn (Kellyjo) Hampton. He has 11 beautiful grandchildren whom he loved more than life itself…Emma, Elli, Addison, Isaiah, Maria, Layla, Kayla, Ava, Chloe, Cale and Callie. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Richard, Robert, Stephen and Donnie. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 7 from 4-7 pm at CONROY FUNERAL HOME. A Memorial Service will follow at 7:00 pm with Pastor Scott Fetter officiating.
