Matthew C. Cox

COX, Matthew C. "Ted", 34, of South Vienna, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 9, 2015 in Springfield. He was born May 19, 1980 in Springfield the son of Charles and Donna (Newman) Cox. Matt worked as a painter for Dave's Truck & Auto Paint for 16 years. He attended the Little Country Church, loved hunting, riding motorcycles and mushroom hunting. Matt was a hardworking, loving husband and father. Survivors in addition to his parents, include his wife and best friend, Nikki (Van Arsdale); two children, Savannah and Ian Cox; three brothers, Chuck (Michelle) Cox, Brian (Sara) Cox and Dan (Brandy) Cox; mother-in-law, Dawn Van Arsdale; maternal grandmother, Anne Newman and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Charles and Imogene Cox, maternal grandfather, Floyd Newman, great grandmother, Geneva Eubanks, aunt Debbie and Uncle Walter, a sister-in-law, Samie Colwell and grandmother-in-law, Sandy Van Arsdale. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday in the funeral home with Pastor Chuck Graham officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.
