COFFMAN, Mary M., 91, of Springfield, passed away April 24, 2018 in Vancrest of New Carlisle. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on March 8, 1927, the daughter of John and Mary (Malone) Seiter. She was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Catholic Church until its closure, and then Sacred Heart Catholic Church. In her earlier years she worked for the railroad and belonged to the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW. Mary devoted her life to caring for her family and extended family. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and hand making beautiful quilts. She was also a lifelong avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William C. Coffman, Sr.; brother, John Seiter and her grandson, Eddie Greenway, Jr. Survivors include her children, Kathy (Rick) Pence, Barb (Ray) Hice, Michael (Beth) Coffman and Bill Coffman, Jr.; grandchildren, Ricky Pence, Jenny (Matt) Mays, Aaron (Merissa) Coffman, Breanna (Cameron) Brewer and Lucas Coffman; three great-grandchildren, Ava, Zane and Liam; and numerous nieces and nephews. Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 12:00 p.m. in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME with Fr. Thomas Nevels officiating. Visitation will be held 2 hours prior in the funeral home, beginning at 10 a.m. The family would like to express their deepest thanks to the staff at Vancrest of New Carlisle and Hospice of Miami Valley for the wonderful care of their mother.
