FELIX, Mary Louise, 95, of Springfield passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones Friday, November 7, 2014 in Pathways at Springfield Masonic Community. She was born October 11, 1919 in Pittsburgh, PA the daughter of Paul Jerome and Helen Ann (Seibel) Criswell. She had worked at Spiegels, and as a secretary for the Springfield City Schools Credit Union for a number of years. She was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, and the City Schools Birthday Club. She was awarded Mother of the Year 2013 by The Springfield Paper after being nominated by her daughter, Denise. Her most important gift was being a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. Survivors include two daughters and spouses, Denise & Jeff Cross, Springfield and Diane & Mike Herrold, Charleston , SC; six grandchildren, Amy McDaniel, Kelsie & Ian Makar, Heidi & Eric Reiners, Kim & Jeff Casey, Bryan & Tarah Herrold and Vince Herrold; 12 great grandchildren, Emma, Jack, Ellie McDaniel, Luke, Colt, and Alec Reiners, Karsen and Dylan Makar, Shelby Casey, Cruze Herrold and twins on the way. Three siblings, Vincent Criswell, Virginia Joyce and John Criswell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. in 1984, a granddaughter, Kristi Cross, a brother, Paul Criswell and her parents. Thank you to Dr. Joseph Morman for the care you provided to Mary. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank the staff of the Masonic Community. To the nurses and aides of both Woodside and OPTUM Hospice, thank you. You all treated Mary as if she was your own mother. Your kindness and love will never be forgotten. God sends us angels to help us through these journeys. You are all angels to us. Keep sharing your gifts with others. As we to try move forward we thank God for 95 years with a beautiful soul. We thank you, Mary, for teaching us to never give up, to always put our faith in God, and that family is the most important gift in our lives. Thank you for the time we had with you. The time to listen ,the time to laugh, the time to love, the time to learn about the end of this life, the time to smile. As we will feel the sun on our face we will have a song in our hearts and know you are with us. "You are my sunshine........" Private Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place in St. Bernard Cemetery.
