Mary Jo Powers

POWERS, MARY JO, 74, of Springfield, passed away March 25, 2015 in Springfield Regional Medical Center. She was born August 24, 1940 in Springfield, Ohio the daughter of Thomas and Catherine (Higgins) Gnau. She was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church. Survivors include three children and spouse, Amy Schellenberg, Jeffersonville, IN, Michael (Barbie) Powers, Austin, TX and Carrie Powers, Springfield, OH; five grandchildren, Bridie (Josh) Pruett, Molly (Ty) Doyle, Connor Schellenberg, Madison Powers and Nick Powers; one great grandson, Leyton Pruett; four siblings, Tom (Susan) Gnau, Steve (Mary Grace) Gnau, Julie Greene and David (Kim) Gnau and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Susan Gnau, brother, John Gnau and a brother-in-law, Jerry Greene. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 10:30 am in St. Teresa Catholic Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior at the church from 9:30 to 10:30 am.
