Mary E. Hearlihy

Hearlihy, Mary E., 79, of Springfield, passed away Sunday, November 23, 2014 in Southbrook Care Center. She was born July 10, 1935 in Springfield, Ohio to Robert F. and Sarah E. (Roberts) Langen. Mary retired from retail sales with Dalton's Book Store after a number of years. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, a 1954 graduate of Catholic Central High School, served on the Clark-Shawnee School Board for 12 years, and served on the Springfield Township Zoning Board of Appeals for 20 years. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, James H.; eight children, Joseph (Darcy) Hearlihy, Jackson, OH, Linda (Charles) Bowman, Washington Court House, OH, William (Melissa) Hearlihy, Los Angeles, CA, Christine Hearlihy, Maineville, OH, Nancy (Randy) Hearlihy, James Hearlihy, Richard Hearlihy, Springfield, David Hearlihy, Maineville, OH; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret Baltes, Mechanicsburg, OH and Leah (Keith) Gullet, a brother, Robert (Artie) Langen, Springfield; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Sarah Boyd and Carol Edmund. The family will receive friends on Saturday beginning at 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 noon Saturday in St. Joseph Church. Inurnment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
