Mary C. Bullwinkel

BULLWINKEL, Mary C., 69, of Springfield, passed away Saturday, December 8, 2018 in her home. Mary was born February 7, 1949 in Ypsilanti, Michigan to Clifford and Catherine (Whalen) Poynter. She was a Professional Secretary for most of her life, and was a costume designer for numerous local community performances. She lived for her children and grandchildren, and never missed an opportunity to spend time with them. She didn't have a lot, but was always trying to give it away. She was also a huge animal lover, and especially loved her cats. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Robert; two children, Sarah (Michael) Blair and Tony Bullwinkel; two grandchildren, River and Skye Blair; two siblings, Irene (David) Marsh and John (Linda) Poynter; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Her husband would like to thank the Springfield Fire Department and the Springfield Police Department for their compassionate care. Her funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME with Fr. Chris Worland officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior, beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be held in St. Bernard Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Animal Welfare League or a local community theatre of your choice.
