Ferres, Mary Bell Nolan, 95, passed away peacefully at 12:15 a.m. Wednesday, October 29, 2014 in Springfield Regional Medical Center. She was born in Springfield on July 29, 1919 the daughter of William and Bertha (Parker) Nolan. She loved spending time with her family, watching "The Golden Girls" on television and caring for her home. She was an immaculate housekeeper. Mary is survived by her four children, Ron (Georgia) Ferres, Judie (Tom) Thorpe, Sherrie (Dan) Routzahn and Kim (Darrell) Dement; 11 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; three nieces; one nephew and special friend, Carol Groeber. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob in 1974 and 12 brothers and sisters. She was the last member of her immediate family. The family would like to thank Forest Glen for the care she received over the last two years. They would also like to thank Community Mercy Hospice, Dr. Ahern and Nurses Sandra and Jennifer for lovingly caring for her over the last few weeks. A celebration of her life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in CONROY FUNERAL HOME with Deacon Norm Horstman officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
