Martha (Bolen) Kauffman

Kauffman, Martha J. (Bolen), 85, most beloved mother and grandmother, passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2015. She was born in Springfield on April 4, 1930 the daughter of John T. and A. Ruth (McCabe) Riley. She retired from Clark State Community College after many years of service and was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church. Survivors include her four children, Ann Beckstead of Texas, Robert and Larene Bolen of Washington, Linda Barnett and Teresa Hohlmayer both of Springfield; two step-sons, Brent Kauffman and Kevin and Debbie Kauffman all of West Liberty, Ohio; two brothers, Tom and Dolores Riley of Urbana and William and Catherine Riley of Kentucky; three grandchildren, Michael Bolen, Stephanie Bolen and Iva and Steve Howald; five great grandchildren whom she adored, Jordan and Michaela Bolen, Alissa and Damien Howald and Austin Hohlmayer and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Lee; two sons-in-law, Ken Beckstead and Chuck Barnett and her grandson, Sean Hohlmayer. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday in CONROY FUNERAL HOME with Fr. John MacQuarrie officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery.
