Mark E. Ober

Ober, Mark E., 62, of Springfield, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017 in Springfield Regional Medical Center. Mark was born April 2, 1954 in Springfield, OH to John F. and Marilyn (Bruss) Ober. He retired from Honda after 20 years of service, and later worked as a car detailer for Maine's Towing. Survivors include the love of his life, Mary Carney; one daughter, Jennifer (David) Jenkins; two step-sons, DJ Novotny and Jeff (Amanda) Booth; three grandchildren, Asia Williams, Anthony Glover and Caroline Jenkins; six siblings, John C. Ober, Peg (Larry) Brake, Joe (Marcie) Ober, Marianne Ober, Doug (Colleen) Ober and Tom (Kristen) Ober; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Jim Ober. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4 -7 p.m. in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Funeral service will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Minister David Jenkins officiating. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Animal Welfare League.
