Marianna M. Mills

Mills, Marianna M., 88, of Springfield, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2016 in Forest Glen Health Campus. Marianna was born April 2, 1927 in Rossmore, West Virginia to Luther and Blanche (Hoy) Wellman. She retired as a Secretary from Wright Patterson Air Force Base after 38 years. She was a member of the Business Women's Professional Association and enjoyed volunteering for St. John's Lutheran Church. Survivors include two children, Alan (Debbie) Mills and Kevin Mills; one daughter-in-law, Jessica Mills; three grandchildren, Kyle Mills, Casey (Holly) Mills and Rachael Mills; one great grandson, Bennett Mills; and one brother, William M. Wellman, Warner Robins, GA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; a sister, Natalie Harberer; and a brother, Doug Wellman. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday in St. John's Lutheran Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior in the church. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Forest Glen for their excellent care. Memorial donations may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church.
