Lowell Snider

Snider, Lowell L., 89, of Ft. Myers, Florida, formerly of Springfield, died November 14, 2013 in Ft. Myers, FL. He was born May 18, 1924 in Springfield, OH to Emmet and Doris (Criswell) Snider. Lowell was employed at WPAFB in the Civil Engineering Division and retired after 40 years. After retirement he moved to Seven Lakes Golf Resort in Ft. Myers where he was an avid golfer and had a large circle of friends. He was a graduate of Springfield High School and was a U.S. Navy Veteran of WW II serving in the Pacific Arena. Lowell was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, The Grand Lodge of F. & A.M. - H.S. Kissell Lodge #0674, Grand Council Royal & Select Masons of Ohio - Springfield Council 17, The Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons of Ohio - Shawnee Chapter 237 and Palestine Commandery #33 Knights Templar, Springfield, OH. Survivors include his wife, Virginia Snider, Ft. Myers, FL; two children David L. Snider, Dayton, OH and Debra (Snider) Lovrak, Springfield, OH; step-children, Patrick J. Bower, San Antonio, TX and Christina (Gary) Callison, Springfield, OH; grandsons, Gregory W. Callison, Springfield, OH, Kevin A. Callison, Denver, CO, Andrew (Elissa) Bower, Atlanta, GA and Stephen Bower, Jackson, MS. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty (Funk) Snider; step-son, Michael G. Bower and grandson, Jeffery R. Callison. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 7th at 11:00 a.m., with visitation beginning one hour prior to service in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Jeff Mullinix officiating.
