Mowery, Lisa Renee, 60, of Springfield, passed away into the heavens Saturday, January 15th at Springfield Regional Medical Center after a month long battle with the Covid virus. She was born on October 18, 1961, a daughter to Everett and Ann (Morgan) Hensley in Springfield, and has resided in Springfield most of her life. She was a 1980 graduate of Shawnee High School, and took some marketing and advertising classes while she worked at the local Meijer store. Lisa was an avid animal lover which directed her to her lifelong passion in the Pet Care industry, working in and eventually managing over 18 years at First Pets and 8 years as the practice manager at the Banfield Animal Hospital, both formally of Springfield. She was a passionate protector of all the animals she was associated with, a voice and an angel for them all. She also loved to scrapbook and crafting all things, as we both enjoyed repurposing items to make them beautiful again. What Lisa loved the most was spending time with her grandchildren, and she loved being a grandmother. Lisa is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Brian Mowery, mother Ann Hensley, son Matthew (Emily) Mowery, son Jacob Mowery, brother Rob Hensley, sister Laurie (Doug) Bayliss, brother Ryan (Alice) Hensley, grandchildren, aunts, uncles and several nieces and nephews, whom she loved all dearly. She was preceded in death by her loving father Everett Hensley and her beloved grandson Carson Mowery. Lisa was such a happy, warm, caring and loving wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend to everyone she touched. She will be greatly missed by us all. We all loved her to the Moon and back. A small graveside funeral will be at Ferncliff Cemetery on Monday, January 24th at 10:00 am, with Rev. Barbara Wiechel officiating. Arrangements by CONROY FUNERAL HOME.
