Moorman, Lester J., 98, of Marysville, Ohio, passed away on August 1, 2016 in his residence. Lester was born on February 23, 1918 in New Weston, Ohio to August and Rosa (Kuhn) Moorman. He was a United States Army veteran, serving in World War II. Lester was employed as a Metal Finisher for International Harvester for 37 years before retiring in 1976. He was a member of the V.F.W., American Legion, Knights of Columbus where he was a former Grand Knight of #3737 and a former member of St. Bernard Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Lucille F. (Fullenkamp); five children, Pamela (Jim) Lundgren of Wisconsin, Chuck (Jayne) Moorman of Springfield, Marcia (Michael) Lyons of Springfield, Mark (Tammy) Moorman of Urbana and Dan (Charlotte) Moorman of Marysville; many grandchildren, many step-grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and many step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Roger Lee Moorman in 1955 and 21 siblings. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Thursday in CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday in St. Bernard Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Bernard Church or Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Marysville, Ohio.
