BALDWIN, Leona M., 86, of Springfield, peacefully passed away in her sleep on Thursday, December 03, 2015 in Hearth and Home Harding Rd. She was born March 15, 1929 in Springfield, Ohio the daughter of Homer and Opal (Eaton) Ashcraft. Leona had worked as a Department Manager for Harts Family Center for over 20 years until it closed. She was a member of St. Marks Methodist Church and a former member of Clifton Ave. Methodist Church. She was an avid Euchre player, a fan of the Cincinnati Reds, especially Joey Votto. Survivors include her two children and spouses, Connie & Bruce Mitchell, Springfield and Robert & Gail Baldwin, Kingston, TN; five grandchildren and spouses, Christopher & Lissa Mitchell, Robert & Ginny Mitchell, Joseph & Vana Mitchell, Leigh Ann Barnett and Kelley & Jacob Day; eight great grandchildren, Jasiah, Claire, Laina, Robbie, Patrick, Evan, Olivia and Brady; one brother, Ernest & Adeline Ashcraft and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert in 2013, a sister, Bessie Hammons and a brother, Bill Ashcraft. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the loving staff at Hearth and Home at Harding, caregiver, Norma Williams and lifelong friend, Ann Hubbard. Friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Monday in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday in the funeral home with Rev. Merrill Mellott officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.
