Kristina A. (Koehler) Herron, RN, BSN

Herron, Kristina A. (Koehler) RN, BSN, 64, of Columbus, OH (formerly of Springfield) passed away unexpectedly September 19, 2015 near Aspen, Colorado, while on vacation. Kristina was born on October 8, 1950 in Springfield, OH to Robert F. and Helen L. (Ripper) Koehler. She was a devoted mother and had been employed as a Registered Nurse for 26 years, spending the last eight years employed by The Ohio State University Ross Heart Hospital. Caring for others was a part of who she was. This was apparent at her job and at home with friends and family. She never knew a stranger and opened her heart to everyone she met. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, and living life to the fullest. She was deeply loved and loved her children and family tremendously. She will be greatly missed. Survivors include her husband, Jim Herron; five children, Stacy Lynch (David Willis), Amy (Jay) Klemmensen, Steven Lynch, Jr., Adam (Amanda) Lynch, and Jenny (Christopher) Thill; step-children, Michelle (Joe) Sculli, and Michael (Charli) Herron; 15 grandchildren, Jacob (Kim), Kara (Travis), Alex, Jacob, Noah, Nicolas, Emma, Meghan, Ethan, Emily, Abigail, Jenna, Brayden, Reagan and Evelyn; one great-grandchild, Hayden; two sisters, Barbara Decker and Becky Garrity, four brothers, Mike (Mary Jo) Koehler, Paul (Lucy) Koehler, David (Robin) Koehler, and Rick (Teresa) Koehler; sister-in-law, Glenna Koehler; two uncles, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and former husband, Steve Lynch, Sr. She was preceded in death by, son, Andrew J. Herron; two brothers, Noel and Jim Koehler. Friends may call at the CONROY FUNERAL HOME from 5:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday in St. Raphael Catholic Church. Inurnment will be held in St. Bernard Cemetery.
