Kenneth R. Sproles

Sproles, Kenneth R., 64, of Springfield, passed away April 22, 2014 in his residence. Ken was born October 22, 1949 in Dayton, OH to Charles Sproles and Opal (Adams) Greer. He worked as a Rehabilitation Counselor for Goodwill Industries for 17 years, and was also a Prudential Life Insurance Agent for 15 years. Prior to that, he worked as a Mental Health and Social Services Counselor for a number of years. Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Karen S. (Beck); two children, Krista (Nicholas) Groves and Kelli Sproles; one granddaughter, Caroline Groves; two sisters, Paula (Greg) Budge and Tina (Randy) Hamilton; two brothers, Tony (Paula) Sproles and Greg (Julie) Greer; beloved step-father, Paul "Simp" Greer; step-mother, Billie Sproles; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends and family may call in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME from 4-7 p.m. Friday. Funeral Service will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Jeff Mullinix officiating. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Springfield Regional Cancer Center.
