Kenneth M. Besecker

BESECKER, Kenneth M., 75, passed away at home on January 24, 2014 with his wife and family by his side. He served in the U.S. Army as a Ranger and Paratrooper stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Predeceased by his parents, Ken is survived by his loving wife Carolyn (Hackett), Columbus and children Eric M. Besecker (Lisa), Petersburg, KY, Lynn (Griffin) Clouse, Centerville, Edward J. Griffin, Jr. (Mary), Springfield and Lisa Griffin, Columbus; and seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Formerly of Springfield, Ohio where he began his career at Ohio Bell Telephone Company (now AT&T), Ken retired from the company in Columbus after 30 years of service. Ken was an avid golfer, and upon retirement he and his wife enjoyed wintering in Longboat Key, Florida. Ken so loved his wife Carolyn, and he loved his children of whom he was completely supportive in all of their endeavors. He will be greatly missed by his family. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday in The Conroy Funeral Home, 1660 E. High Street, Springfield, Ohio 45505. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home followed by burial in Calvary Cemetery, Springfield, Ohio.
