Kellee Jo Haggy

Haggy, Kellee Jo, 51, of South Charleston, passed away at 6:01 p.m. Sunday, August 25, 2013 in her home. She was born in Springfield on August 1, 1962 the daughter of Glendon "Skip" and Thelma Grace (Finchum) Swan, Jr. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, South Charleston. She was a nanny for several youngsters in the community that are near and dear to her heart. She was the owner and operator of the Swan's Nest Embroidery Shop for 13 years. She coached junior high volleyball and junior high cheerleading for many years and was an avid supporter of the South Charleston Pool. Survivors, in addition to her father of North Carolina, include her husband of 23 years, Rick L.; three daughters and son-in-law, Rachel (Craig) Kelley of Loveland, Taylor and Madison Haggy both of South Charleston; granddaughter, Mya Jo Kelley; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Steve (Pauline) Swan of West Jefferson and Phil (Kari) Swan of Mississippi and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother in 1995. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday in the First Presbyterian Church, South Charleston. Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the church with Pastor Charlie Wertz officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, South Charleston. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Taylor and Madison Haggy Scholarship Fund at Security Bank.
