Kathleen M. Wachsmuth

WACHSMUTH, Kathleen M., 90, of Springfield, passed away August 26, 2015 in Springfield Regional Medical Center. She was born January 16, 1925 in Dayton, Ohio the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Kerrigan) Wachsmuth. Kathleen worked as a teacher for Springfield City Schools for 37 years, retiring in 1984. She was a member of Delta Zeta Sorority, Mercy Library Guild, Altar Rosary, Catholic Women's College Club and the Animal Welfare League. Survivors include a sister-in-law, Mildren Wachsmuth, Sydney, OH. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Teresa Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery, Sidney, OH. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Animal Welfare League or St. Vincent DePaul.
