Kathleen "KK" Callison

CALLISON, Kathleen "KK", 56, of Springfield, passed away Thursday, September 14, 2017 in the Springfield Regional Medical Center. She was born July 15, 1961 in Springfield, OH to Robert and Ruth (Jordan) Shay. Kathy was a 1979 graduate of Catholic Central High School and later retired from the Clark County Prosecutors Office. She loved her girls, her three precious grandsons who called her KK, and her dogs very much. She also loved her Avon customers, spending nice days at the Elks pool, and walking with her beloved grandkids and dogs. Survivors include two daughters, Candace (Jordan) Copeland and Brittanie (Matt) Insley; three grandchildren, Hayden, Lincoln and Louie; three siblings, Dave (Theresa) Shay, Robert Shay and Mary Ann Evans; and her two cats, Fire and Karen. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Terry McNeal; sister-in-law, Ellen Shay; and two dogs, Onyx and Lola. Everyone who knew Kathy will miss her bright smile and bubbly personality. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 2:00 p.m. in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME with Deacon Joe Leep officiating. Visitation will be held two hours prior, beginning at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Clark County SPCA.
