Katherine Montague

Montague, Katherine A. (Block), 97, of Springfield, passed away on Friday, February 26, 2016 in Clark Memorial Home. Katherine was born on December 25, 1918 in Middletown, IN to Dewey and Carrie (Carpenter) Fadely. For over 30 years, she enjoyed running her booth at the Urbana Flea Market. Survivors include her daughter, Diana Seaman of Springfield; nine grandchildren, Carey & Michael McKee, Grif & Michelle Bennett, Norm & Julie Bennett, Cathy & Dennis Dern, Lisa & John Quaintance, Amy Walthall, Joseph & Andrea Ober, Brenna & Eric Franklin and Andrew & Kelsee Seaman and a number of great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Norman Block; her second husband, Gerald "Monty" Montague and two daughters, Peggy Walthall and Barbara Bennett. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday in CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Visitation will be held one hour prior starting at 12:00 pm. Interment will be held in Ferncliff Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to Clark Memorial Home.
