Katherine I. Trapp

Trapp, Katherine I., 99, of Springfield, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2018 in the Springfield Regional Medical Center. Katherine was born September 3, 1918 in Portsmouth, OH to Leslie and Bertha (Klinker) Rodgers. She was a seamstress for Mercy Hospital and was a member of St. Bernard Church for 75 years, where she was a member of the Prayer Line and Bereavement Committee for many years. She was also a past President of the Catholic Ladies of Columbia. She was also a longtime volunteer for Project Woman, where she was volunteer of the year. Survivors include three children, Janice Porter (Ann Haines), Robert (Judy) Trapp and Dale (Charlotte) Trapp; five grandchildren, Lisa (Patrick) Westlund, Kristin, Tony, Josh and Carisa Trapp; seven great grandchildren, Vincent, Brandon, Maddy, India, Maggie, Joe and Marissa; and one great great granddaughter, Mya. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Trapp in 1971; a daughter, Margaret Rose Faulise; and a grandson, David Rivenburgh. Her funeral service will be held on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME with Deacon Earl Rogers officiating. Visitation will be held 2 hours prior, beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery.
