Born in Springfield, OH, she was the daughter of the late John and Opal Rasico McAtee.
In addition to her husband of 19 years, left to cherish her memory are her three children, Angie Paden, Rachel Paden, and Jon Paden (Denice Montano-Orourke); five grandchildren, Jordan Paden, Tobias Johnson, Kamryn Hunt, Beau St. Clair, and Cecilia Rose Paden-Montano; eight siblings, Joyce Semindinger, Laura Foley, Jack McAtee, Pat McAtee, Bill McAtee, Marian Shell, Chris McAtee, and David McAtee.
It is difficult to summarize the life of a woman with a heart so pure and tender. She was a gift from God, a cornerstone, a safe haven, and a constant source of encouragement. Her life was simple but full of strength, laughter, and joy. She truly valued the love and memories made with family and friends as precious gifts, carried close to her heart. Loving others will forever be her lasting legacy, handed down to all who knew her. Please join us, as family and friends, to show her the love that she showed us all.
A Celebration of Karen’s Life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Southeast. The family will greet guests and share memories afterwards.
Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Meyer Center for Special Children at https://meyercenter.org/.
