Karen Ann Tayloe

Tayloe, Karen Ann, 57 passed away from complications of cancer on October 17, 2016. She was born June 11th, 1959, along with her twin sister Sharon to Paul & Mary Ann (Mantel) Tayloe. Karen graduated from Catholic Central High School in 1977. She devoted many years as the long term care-giver for her Aunt Helen Mantel who suffered from complications of Alzheimer's disease. While she worked in the healthcare field for most of her life, her true calling was for interior design and home decorating. Karen was a consummate animal lover. Karen is survived by her two children and their families; daughter Megan Vallandingham (Matt Auberger and daughter Claire) of Loveland, Ohio. Son, Benjamin Vallandingham (Danielle Browning and son Leonidas) of Columbus, Ohio. She is survived by her loving parents, Paul & Mary Ann Tayloe of Springfield, and her three siblings. Twin sister, Sharon Detrick (Charles Azbill) of Moraine, Ohio; brother Mark Tayloe (Kathy) of Springfield and brother Michael Tayloe (Howard Johnson) of Palm Springs, California. In addition to her immediate family, Karen is survived by many loving and caring aunts, uncles, cousins, and nieces and nephews. Additionally she was fortunate to be surrounded with devoted friends all her life. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday in CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Her family will receive friends from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Saturday. Donations may be made to the ASPCA/American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
