Julia Marie (Robinson) Wells

WELLS, Julia Marie (Robinson), 90, affectionately known as "Blondie", went to be with the Lord on May 11, 2016. She was born in Asheville, NC on February 10, 1926, the 7th of 10 children. She came to the Springfield area in 1943 where she met her beloved husband of 72 years. During WWII she packed parachutes at WPAFB and later worked in upholstery at International Harvester. She was devoted to her family, enjoyed flower gardening, baking pies and spending time with her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, a stillborn daughter, Vicky Lynn, a son, Stephen M. Wells and her siblings. She is survived by her husband, James H. Wells; a daughter, Nancy L. & Daniel Lester, Richmond, VA; a son, Richard A. & Linda Wells, South Vienna, OH; 9 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 pm in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:30 am in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
