Josephine C. Gibson

GIBSON, Josephine C., 90, of Springfield, passed away Monday November 19, 2018 in the Caldwell House. Josephine was born December 6, 1927 in Springfield, Ohio to Anthony and Lillian (Bartling) Faust. She owned Gibson's Market with her husband for many years and was a regular volunteer at St. Vincent de Paul and St. Raphael Church, where she was a member. Survivors include four children, Sandy (Joe) Starr, Mary Jo (Mark) Shaffer, Diane (David) Davis and Cathy (Tim) Marshall; 14 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward W. Gibson, Jr. in 1982; a daughter, Deborah Embry; and two brothers, Paul and Ike Faust. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Raphael Church. Visitation will be held one and a half hours prior, beginning at 9:00 a.m. in the church. Burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Raphael Church. Arrangements by CONROY FUNERAL HOME.
