HILBERT, Julius "Joseph" Edward, 83, passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at his daughter's home in Taylor Mill, KY. He was born to Charles and Helen (Quinn) Hilbert on April 6, 1931 in Springfield, Ohio. Joseph was the Father of six children, Kelly (Dennis) Flynn, Bill (Susan) Hilbert, Kimberly (Tracy Schott), John Hilbert, Jim (Darla) Hilbert and Colleen (Ron) Burns; his adopted son Butch (Cindy) Wehrle; grandchildren Brody, Drew, Patrick Flynn; Katie Hilbert, Dr. Lee Niemeyer, Tanya (Craig) Bricking; Cameron and Casey Hilbert; Trey Burns; Matthew and Ben Wehrle; four great-grandchildren, Zach, Ryan, Cole and Jake Bricking; and numerous Hilbert, Marmion, Gibson and King nephews and nieces. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents and his former wife Janet (Teehan) Hilbert; his brothers Charles, Jack, William; and his sisters Mary Catherine, Helen, Louise. Joseph was a Master Plumber, a member of St. Bernard's Church for his whole life and a faithful Red's fan who attended over 60 Opening Day games. He also was a member of many clubs and organizations including The Union Club, Knights of Columbus, Veteran of Foreign Wars, Elks, Loyal Order of Moose and the Buckeye Sports Lodge. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday in St. Bernard Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St Jude's Research Hospital or St. Bernard Catholic Church.
