WENTZ, John W. "Jack", 100, of Springfield, passed away October 1, 2014 in Hearth and Home. He was born April 24, 1914 in Springfield the son of Frank and Anna (Singer) Wentz. He worked as an office worker at International Harvester for over 44 years retiring in 1979. Jack was a member of the Lagonda United Methodist Church for a number of years, the Masonic Lodge #455 for 68 years and Scottish Rite of Columbus for 66 years. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Wanda (Woodell); two children, Bob & Linda Wentz, Pickerington and Janice Cave, Springfield; five grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; one sister, Marjorie Miller; sister-in-law, Helen Smith and numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by his first wife, two infant children, one grandson, Michael Cave, one brother, Don Wentz, one sister, Marion Miller, one brother-in-law, Ed Smith and one son-in-law, Richard Cave. A chapel service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 16 in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens Chapel with Pastor Dan Held officiating.
