John Timothy "Tim" Swonger

SWONGER, John Timothy "Tim", 61, of Springfield, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2016 in his home. Tim was born February 16, 1954 in Springfield the son of John William and Alice (Johnson) Swonger. He owned and operated Swonger Furniture for a number of years and later worked for Buckeye Fire. He was a member of the Elks Lodge #51 and enjoyed golfing and fishing. Survivors in addition to his father, include his two sons, John Tyler Swonger, Zionsville, IN and Andrew James Swonger, Chicago, IL; two sisters, Lynda (Forrest) Applegate and Patricia Lambacher; special friends, Mike Larson and Debbie McCurdy and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Alice in 2011. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by CONROY FUNERAL HOME.
