John M. Stevens

STEVENS, John M., 57, of Springfield, passed away on Friday, August 04, 2017 in Springfield Regional Medical Center. He was born July 16, 1960 in Columbus, Ohio the son of Joe Stevens and Martha (Miller) Thompson. John worked as a tool and dye designer for Remington Steel for 37 years. Survivors include his mother, Martha "Marty" Thompson; one son, Joseph M. Stevens, Springfield; four grandchildren, Jessica, Hannah, Liliana and Laura Jane; two great grandchildren, Callie and Zander; four siblings, Tim Stevens, Charlie Stevens, Linda Stigall and Jettie & Bobby Vlaskovich; aunt, Janet Wheeler; uncles, Bud Miller and Donald Miller; special friends, Stan & Jessie Beverly and all his friends at Remington Steel. He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Stevens and stepfather, Hubert Thompson. Funeral service will be held on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Miguel Ten officiating. Visitation will be held two hours prior, beginning at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be in Asbury Chapel Cemetery.
