Misocky, Jr., John Joseph, 72, of Springfield, passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 in Springfield Regional Medical Center. He was born in Warren, Ohio on November 5, 1942 to John Joseph and Velma (Fidram) Misocky, Sr. He retired from International Harvester in 2001 after 37 1/2 years of service. He was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church, where he served on the bereavement committee. He was a member of the Local 402 retirees and coached football and girl's basketball for many years at St. Raphael School. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Survivors include his wife, Donna (Swain); four children, John Donivon (Dianne) Misocky, April (Frank) Weaver, Vickie (Kurt) Berschet and Tracy (James) Roediger; nine grandchildren, Tony, Alison, Audrey, Andrew, Paige, Kendra, Luke, Ian and Sean; seven adopted grandchildren, Justice, Jaida, Juliet, Jrew, Jodeci, Jaraiah and Trey; two great grandchildren, Amelia and Nola; three brothers, Bill Misocky, Andy (Lee) Misocky and James (Marta) Misocky; two sisters-in-law, Jo Ann Wright and Sally Miller; brother-in-law, Dick Whitaker and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Collings; niece, Kim Collings; sister-in-laws, Nancy (Fred) Swain Colliflower, Sandy Misocky; two brothers-in-law, Russell Wright and Max Miller. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in St. Raphael Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to mass in the church. Entombment will be in Rose Hill Mausoleum. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Raphael Restoration Fund or Catholic Central High School. Arrangements are being handled by the CONROY FUNERAL HOME.
