John Edward Mantel

MANTEL, John Edward 1959-2019 Passed away on Monday, January 7, 2019. He was born in Springfield, Ohio on November 7, 1959. He was preceded in death by his parents, Janet E. Mantel and James E. Mantel, and his sister Carol Ann Wolf. He is survived by his sister Kathleen Marie Mantel and his brothers James K. Mantel (Eileen), Patrick J. Mantel, Peter A. Mantel and several nieces and nephews. He graduated from Springfield Catholic Central High School in 1977, and enlisted in the United States Marine Corp in 1980, where he served for four years. He was an avid hunter and firearms collector. A memorial service and a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 802 Kenton Street, Springfield, OH, on Tuesday, January 15, 2019, commencing at 6:00 PM.
