John C. Benning

Benning, John C., 53, of Springfield, passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2015. He was born in Springfield on October 31, 1962 the son of John David and Judy L. (Horn) Benning. He worked as a mechanic at Navistar, loved to fish, was a fan of the Reds and Buckeyes and was a former volunteer fireman for Springfield Township and Central Township in London. Survivors, in addition to his parents, include his wife, Pamela Jean (Sanders) Benning; daughter, Brooke Suzanne Benning of Leesburg; three siblings and spouses, Cheri (David) Peart of London, David (Christel) Benning of Springfield and Susan (Jeff) Young of South Vienna and six nieces and nephews, Erika, Ali, Chase, Caitlin, Keegan and Cole. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Paul and Alice Horn and his paternal grandparents, Richard and Mary Benning. His funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday in CONROY FUNERAL HOME with Deacon Norm Horstman officiating. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Pets Uniting People Society, P.O. Box 49, Tremont City, Ohio 45372 or Salvation Army.
