JoEtta Simones-Baker

Simones-Baker, JoEtta, 58, of Springfield, passed away Thursday, July 13, 2017 in Springfield Regional Medical Center. JoEtta was born October 25, 1958 in Portsmouth, Ohio to Donald & Anna (Tomlison) Simones. She was previously self-employed as a commercial real estate appraiser and professional dog trainer. She was also a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. JoEtta was an avid writer, publishing a book at age 18 called Moments Beyond. She is survived by her parents, Donald & Anna Simones; siblings, Lisa, Donald "Chuck", Susan, Pamela and Jon Aaron; five nieces and four nephews; and five great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Baker and sister, LaDonna Fisher. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 18 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Joseph Church. Visitation will be held one and a half hours prior, beginning at 9:30 a.m. in the church. Entombment will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.
