Joel K. "Chuck" Barnett

Barnett, Joel K. "Chuck", 77, passed away peacefully on Saturday October 10, 2015 surrounded by his family. He was born in Clintwood, Virginia on April 11, 1938 the son of Luther and Iva Maie (Tackett) Barnett. He was a Mechanical Engineer for 20 years at Central State University and later was a Mechanical Engineer at Barnett's Heating and Air. He was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Survivors include his wife, Linda (Bolen); children, Iva L. and Steve Howald, Jason K. and Stacie Barnett and Charles C. Barnett and four grandchildren, Alissa and Damien Howald and Joseph and Kristen Barnett. His funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday in CONROY FUNERAL HOME with Fr. John MacQuarrie officiating. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery.
