Jodi K. Hirtzinger

Hirtzinger, Jodi K. (Jacobs), 48, of Springfield, passed away Thursday, September 3, 2015 in Oakwood Village after a courageous battle with cancer. Jodi was born November 6, 1966 in Springfield, Ohio to George K. Jacobs, II and Linda (Moone) Lauchard. Survivors include, in addition to her parents, two children, Courtney Nichole Crawford and Joshua Jacob Hirtzinger; one stepdaughter, Kristen Hirtzinger; one sister, Melissa Ann (Joseph) Smith; two nieces, Bethany Ann Shawver and Joely Ireland Smith; stepfather, Joe Lauchard; and numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins and stepsiblings. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Andrew Michael Hirtzinger; grandparents, George and Beatrice Jacobs, and Richard and Virginia Ireland Moone. Jodi will always be remembered for being a loving mother, sister, daughter and friend. Her smile always lightened up the room and she will be greatly missed by all those who were blessed to know her. The family would like to thank the staff at Oakwood Village and Crossroads Hospice for their kind care. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday in Grace Lutheran Church, 1801 St. Paris Pike, Springfield, OH with Pastor Beverly DeBord officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior in the church. Memorial donations may be made to the James Cancer Center, Columbus, OH.
