Joann M. Savage

SAVAGE, Joann M., 84, of Urbana, passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2017 in Villa Springfield. She was born March 20, 1932 in Springfield the daughter of Joseph J. and Zella M. (Oblinger) Loney. Joann worked as a sales clerk for over 30 years for Rikes, Shillito-Rikes, Lazarus and finally Macy's. She was a graduate of Catholic Central High School and an animal lover, raising and breeding Yorkies. Survivors include four children and spouses, Kevin & Suzi Savage, Orlando, FL, Kerry & Shawn Bowshier, Kirk Savage, both of Urbana and Kristin & Todd Leasure, South Vienna; ten grandchildren, Kelly Savage, Chad, Calen and Codi Bowshier, Chelsea and Kyle Savage, Ryan, Josh and Megan Queen, Jake Leasure and 16 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Roy in 2004 and her parents. The family would like to extend a special thanks to all the nurses and staff at Villa Springfield for their wonderful care.
