Joann Hannahan

HANNAHAN, Joann, 89, of Springfield, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on January 17, 2018 in Oakwood Village. She was born November 22, 1928 in Springfield, the daughter of the late Arthur B. and Grace (Croy) Day. Joann was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and volunteered for many years at Mercy Hospital. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and was an inspiration to her family. She was loved by all and will be sorely missed. Survivors include her two sons and spouses, Mark & Patti Hannahan, Cincinnati, OH and Mike & Lisa Hannahan, Amherst, MA; five grandchildren and spouses, Erin & John Wanke, Matt & Tricia Hannahan, Patrick Hannahan, Caitlin Hannahan and Colin Hannahan; five great grandchildren, Noah, Maya and Eve Wanke, and Maren and Will Hannahan; and a very special group of wonderful nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, William in 1991, sisters, Pat, Marge and Dorothy, and one brother, Max. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 PM on Sunday in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday in St. Joseph Catholic Church.
