Freeman, Joan L. Harris, 87, of Springfield, passed away at 3:30 p.m. Monday, February 13, 2017 in her residence. She was born in Springfield on February 3, 1930 the daughter of John W. and Frances C. (Kelly) Burk. She retired from Credit Life Insurance in 1988 after 18 years of service. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, where she volunteered on the bereavement committee and played the organ. Survivors include her eight children and spouses, Cindy (Ron) Price, Joe (Melinda) Freeman, Tom (Lori) Freeman all of Springfield, Terri (Steve) Williams of Beavercreek, Ohio, Anne Amato of Springfield, Mark Harris of Covington, Ohio, Steve Harris of Kettering, Ohio and Pat (Mary) Harris of Clear Lake, Texas; 23 grandchildren; 45 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, John B. Harris, second husband, Eldon "Jim" Freeman, son, John F. Harris, twin brother, Gene, two twin sisters, Anne O'Brien and Helen Hill, brother, John Burk and grandson, Tim Price. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Thursday in CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
