Lockwood, Joan (Evans) King, of Springfield, passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2017 in Clark Memorial Home. She was born in Springfield on June 21, 1919 to Clay and Mary (Weiss) Evans. She lived all her 98 years in Springfield. She graduated from Springfield High School in 1937. She was married in 1940 to her first husband of 35 years, Heber W. King. In 1988 she married A. Eldon Lockwood, who died in 1993. She attended Covenant Presbyterian Church her entire life and was an active member until the end. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Sue (Hannon) King; grandson and wife, Ryan and Samantha (Smiddy) King; nephew, Edward Eyhusen; niece and husband, Mary and David Stevens and dear friend, Jackie Holden. In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Carolyn Kiser and Elinore Eyhusen and many cousins. Joan was the last one of her generation. Her family would like to thank Clark Memorial Home and Ohio's Community Mercy Hospice for their excellent care. A celebration of her life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday in Covenant Presbyterian Church with Rev. Ray Stewart officiating.
