Foreman, Joan A., 73, of Springfield, died at 11:55 p.m. Saturday, February 8, 2014 in Springfield Regional Medical Center following a brief illness with cancer. She was born November 5, 1940 in Springfield, OH to William and Dorothy (Bell) Hopping. Joan was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church, Springfield Country Club, member and Past President of the Springfield Museum of Art and the Polo Club. Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Jim Foreman, three children, Susie (Rodger) Burk, Kathleen (Steve) Rountree and Peter (Amy) Foreman; daughter in law, Stephanie Foreman; grandchildren, Molly Agle, Brandon Foreman, Bryant Foreman, Mitchell (Sarah) Burton, Peter Blair, Will, Max and Alice Foreman; great grandchildren, Garrett and Seth Agle, and Brennon Burton; a sister, Patty (Ron) Foreman; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, family and friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Danny Foreman, a sister, Mary Lou (Bob) Franzen and a special uncle, Reverend Father David A. Bell. Joan's greatest love on earth was her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed going to "The Lake", her time in Naples, and family at Christmas. Family was her life, and in return, she was the exceptional gift to her family. A private visitation will be held. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in St. Raphael Church. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery. The family would like to express their appreciation to Springfield Regional Medical Center and the Hospice staff. Memorial donations may be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society, St. Raphael Building Fund, Catholic Central Schools Building Fund or your favorite charity.
